Huracán Confirms Diego Martínez's Return as Head Coach

Buenos Aires, Dec 3 (NA) - Huracán confirmed on Wednesday that Diego Martínez will begin his second cycle as the club's coach following Frank Darío Kudelka's resignation last November. 'The Globe' announced the return of the former Boca Juniors coach with a social media post detailing that he will sign a contract with the club until June 2027, after completing practice with the squad. According to the Argentine News Agency, talks between the manager and the club were led by Abel Poza, president of the 'cremiero' team, who sought to repair the relationship between both parties after Martínez's anticipated departure to 'Xeneize' in 2024. Martínez's first stint at Huracán was brief, as he decided to leave the club just one semester after his announcement in 2023 and move to Brandsen 805 the following January. During his first cycle, he led 23 matches, securing 12 wins, 2 draws, and 9 defeats. Following his early departure from the Parque Patricios team, the manager had to pay 175 million pesos for the termination of his contract, thus becoming a free agent to join Boca Juniors.
